City advises of electricity supply interruptions in Tambo Village and Welcome Estate

The City advises residents in Tambo Village and Welcome Estate of upcoming necessary electricity supply interruptions for infrastructure maintenance, which will be carried out during January 2026. The City apologises for any inconvenience caused while the essential maintenance is being done.

The electricity infrastructure maintenance will be carried out on 27 and 29 January 2026 from 08:30 to 16:00, if all goes to plan. To view the area outage maps, visit:

This is important maintenance of critical electricity infrastructure in Tambo Village and Welcome Estate. The maintenance work ensures a reliable electricity supply for residents.

It is important to note that the supply interruptions will only affect the highlighted areas on the maps and only on the relevant dates.

Please note:

The electricity supply could be restored at any time and customers must please treat all electrical installations as live for the full duration of the interruption.

Residents are encouraged to switch off appliances as a precaution and to avoid damage caused by surges when the power comes back on.
